I always enjoy your thought process and insights. I am so glad you got angry and decided to write The Bennet Wardrobe series. They have pride of place on my bookshelf. I too would love to read an ARC of 'Ghost Flight'. Cheers!
I would enjoy being an ARC reader for your book. I have four other authors I beta and/or ARC read for. However, I am permanently banned from reviewing on Amazon. (They objected to the words “dastard,” “ass” and “hash.”) A request to have a human moderator review my posts for reconsideration was denied. I always let authors know this in advance before they send me their books to review. I am not a foul mouthed person…I am a 69 year old retired HR professional, for whatever that’s worth. I do review on Goodreads and BookBub.
I am very impressed with the way you read and think about what’s not explicit in the story. I agree that books are written in layers with so many things to consider about the author, their personal experience, the times they live(d) in, and the important events of those times. Even if they are writing about a time that is not their own, they are still impacted by their own experiences. It takes the story to a whole different level. I enjoy your books, although I shamefully admit to not having yet read the wardrobe series. I have had them on the back burner for too long now and after your explanation of their origin, and the excerpt, feel like I’m really missing something significant. Time to get busy!
I read the series a few years ago and loved it. This excerpt serves as a reminder that the wardrobe was a gift and a source of hope for the Bennets. I'll have to reread the whole series once I finish the twenty books currently in my Kindle Reader.
Very good chapter! I love the conversation between Mr and Mrs Bennet, so tender and loving!
